About Us
The Warner Robins Native plant Center is a community project of Keep Warner Robins Beautiful and Georgia Military College. Its mission is to educate the public about the importance of Georgia's native plants to a healthy ecosystem. Natives are the best plants for storm-water control and they provide the best habitat and food for pollinators and other wildlife and they can easily be incorporated in landscape designs. Efforts of the Center include education to the community through a Spring seminar series and programs for school groups. Community volunteers and GMC students will be involved in plant propagation, restoration of native plant communities and other conservation efforts. Plant sales will be held in Spring and Fall to provide native plant options for the community. Plants will include native perennials, shrubs and trees. Funds raised in the plant sales will go back into the efforts of the Native Plant Center.
